Itinerary
Day 1: Lilongwe - Malawi
Although this is the capital city, it is not large by African standards.
A central curio market is one of the biggest attraction and this day is
reserved for settling in after your flight.
Included is airport pick up and lodge accommodation
Day 2: Lilongwe - Senga Bay
After breakfast you will have a short drive to Lake Malawi staying at Senga
Bay, you will have time to spend on the lake or maybe a wander around the
local village.

Day 3: Senga Bay - Liwonde National Park
Today you will be driven to one of Malawi’s great National Parks,
Liwonde. Liwonde N.P is 310sq.km in size and has a diverse range of wildlife
and 4 of the big 5
A birders paradise to boot. After setting up camp you spend the rest of
the day game driving.

Day 4: Liwonde National Park
You will have the whole day in Liwonde with a game drive and boat safari
included.

Day 5: Liwonde – Lake Malawi
After breakfast you will have a game drive as you head for the park gate.
You will then go back to Lake Malawi staying at the Southern end of the
lake with time to relax.

Day 6: Lake Malawi - Lilongwe
Today you head back to Lilongwe via Dedza Pottery were you will have time
to have a look at this amazing Malawian pottery .

Day 7: Lilongwe – South Luangwa National Park
After an early breakfast you drive over the border to Zambia and to South
Luangwa National Park, one of Africa’s greatest parks. Right in the
Great Rift Valley, it is without doubt Big Game Country and this will be
confirmed when a herd of elephant nonchalantly amble through your campsite,
lion, hippos and hyena have this same habit. Today a night drive is included.

Day 8: South Luangwa National Park
Included today is a morning and night game drive, a walking safari being
optional. In between game drives there is a swimming pool to cool off in
or you could lie in a hammock and watch the wildlife coming to the river
to drink.

Day 9: South Luangwa National Park - Chipata
An early start for your morning game drive, after lunch you make your way
to Chipata.

Day 10: Chipata - Lusaka
A days drive gets you to the Capital where we will stock up on much needed
supplies. Here you have time to amble around a modern shopping mall, pick
up a few luxuries before you plunge back into the wild country in southern
Zambia below lake Kariba on the Zambezi River.

Day 11: Lusaka - Lower Zambezi
Today you drive to the Lower Zambezi River. The journey take you on a pontoon
river crossing to get to the campsite in time for you to go on a sunset
river boat trip.

Day 12: Lower Zambezi
Once again we enter big game country, after breakfast you will get to paddle
sedately along in your canoes to view and photograph the game from a different
perspective. Do be on the lookout for hippo's though as we don't want to
invade their territory!!! On your return there will be time to soak in the
swimming pool or watch the river float by.

Day 13: Lower Zambezi – Livingstone
Today is a drive day to Livingstone.

Day 14: Livingstone - Zambia
After a leisurely breakfast you will be driven to Victoria Falls were you
will arrange a time that suit you to be picked up . There is also the possibility
to do optional extras such as flights over the falls, boat trips, safaris,
bungee jumping or white water rafting. Camping is included for this night,
trip end next morning.
The adventure capital of Zambia and home to the mighty Zambezi river. If adrenaline sports are your thing, you will be right at home. Skydiving, white water rafting, bungee jumping or gorge swings, they can all be found here and more. Do try to stay a little longer here as you may find that there is a lot more to keep you busy than just crazy activities (see our activities list for the options). Livingstone is only 10km from Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe and also the start of our return trip to Malawi through Zimbabwe. Or maybe a trip to visit Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.
Note. This trip can also be done in reverse, starting in Livingstone and finishing in Lilongwe, Malawi.
